Recommendations for playing in The Legend of Sleeping Waters.
1) Purchase the source materials
A great deal of information has been left out when it comes to the sourch material for CJ Carella's WitchCraft. To get started, you can download CJ Carella's WitchCraft corebook for free from the WitchCraft website and order the other suppliments from that same site. Or you can cruise on over to DriveThruRPG and purchase CJ Carella's WitchCraft source materials in pdf format. Also, we have turned to using Ghosts of Albion as the main rules so another good book to turn too.

2) Plot out the character you want to play.
This will help you in the long run when it comes to writing up those background histories and becoming familiar with the powers your character is either comfortable with or growing into.
3) Don't really stress about Associations.
A character is not required to be a part of an Association at the start of the game. If, after a length of playtime, you finally decide what Association your character would like to be a part of, just talk to the Chroniclers and he/she will help you through a storyline of being recruited into your chosen Association. Note: Associations are no longer being used in Sleeping Waters.
4) Be respectful to your fellow Player and Chroniclers.
This is a game and these are words on a screen and they can't hurt you. Feel like you're getting irritated, then take five from the screen. If you feel like your top is about to explode, then inform the player through a private message that you need to take off. If it's during a scene, talk it over with the Chronicler in a private message or even through email after you cooled down.
5) Remember, the Chronicler has the last word.
You are players in a world created for you by the Chroniclers. You may not agree with a rule, you may not agree with a call. That's your right, but remember, in this game, that right also belongs to the Chronicler and their word is final. They are not being paid to work here, they come here with free time to play just as you do. The Chroniclers are not here to butt-heads with a player day in and day out. If you have a suggestion, then be kind enough to either send a private message or add your suggestion onto the forum. Chroniclers will listen.
6) Be mindful of what you roleplay.
We don't mind you interacting with other players, but try and steer clear of events that's rather touchy. No child pornography or anything of that nature. That just does not belong here and does not need to be roleplayed out. If you are found doing such, you will be banned permanently from the forum, website and chat.
7) Have fun!
Remember, this is just a game and we're all here to have fun. Keep that in mind and all will be fine. Now repeat after me, this is just a game and have fun! =D
